The Stephenson County Health Department Women came up with the idea for pink porches and through hard work, dedication, and lots of sass these brilliant women launched it in their community in 2007 with great success. They lit businesses and homes hot pink for the month of October and raised funds for their Breast Cancer Center, providing free mammograms for those that are otherwise unable to afford them. It was a fabulous success. |
